ENJOY THE BEAUTY WALES HAS TO OFFER
Wales is such a stunning part of the UK with so many fantastic walks within easy reach and north Wales is no exception. The countryside is so accessible in any direction that it’s such a shame not to make the most of the area whether you are visiting or live here and take for granted the stunning scenery right on your doorstep.
LLANDUDNO PROMENADE
Within ¼ of a mile from the Loaf you are on the Promenade, this is a mile long stunning stretch of stony beach adjacent to a wide tarmac footpath that runs the whole length of the Prom and is perfect for a sunny stroll. You can see many of the town’s hotels and guest houses along the front along with the Great Orme sitting high in the sky to one side of you and the Little Orme looming over you to the other. The prom is enjoyed daily by hundreds of people every day both visitors and locals alike taking in the breathtaking views and the refreshing sea air.
WEST SHORE
Also within a short drive, you can visit the ‘West Shore’….a vast and stunning sandy beach that makes for a perfect walk on a nice sunny afternoon. Here is where you will find a statue of Alice from ‘Alice in Wonderland’. An interesting fact about West Shore is that Llandudno was the holiday home of Alice Liddell, the girl who Lewis Carroll wrote his world wide famous story on, ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Alice Liddell used to visit Llandudno and stay in her holiday home with her family on West Shore.
LOCAL WALKS IN THE AREA
Some great local trails can also be found at www.greatorme.org.uk if you wish to explore the area in more detail such as a walk to the Great Orme Summit or an informative walk around the town centre.
