At the
Cottage Loaf we pride ourselves on our homemade traditional dishes. Pub food has a style of its own and we like to
think that we add our own twist to the classic dishes. Our talented and creative chefs also love to
try out their new and original flavours so be sure to try some of the
“not-so-typical” dishes on the menu like our 'Cider braised Belly of pork, award winning black pudding, wholegrain mash, carrots, brocolli with whiskey and honey sauce'.
Our daily menu (this is a sample menu as our menu changes regularly but it gives you an idea of some of the dishes that we like to feature) offers a variety of dishes including light bites for those looking for something lighter of a lunchtime such as ‘homemade corriander crab cakes with avacado, chilli and lime salsa' to wholesome hearty mains like ‘Welsh steak and Conwy ale pie, buttery mash, chanteny carrots and spring greens’…guaranteed to fill you up!
REGULAR MENU CHANGES
Our menu changes regularly so keep an eye out for our chef's latest culinary creations such as: ‘Oyster cut half shoulder of lamb, rosemary dauphinoise, seasonal vegetables and redcurrant jus’ or ‘Spinach and blue cheese penne finished with pesto cream and toasted almonds'……simply scrumptious!
SUNDAY LUNCH
Every Sunday
from 12pm we offer our Sunday Lunch Menu (sample menu)
which includes a delicious choice of 4 meats: Topside of Welsh Beef, Welsh shoulder of Lamb, Braised Belly Pork or Crown of Turkey. Our roasts are served the traditional way with homemade
Yorkshire pudding, chipolata sausage & root vegetable crisps, homemade stuffing,
roasted & new potatoes, creamed leek and cabbage, chanteny carrots, cauliflower & our own extra tasty traditional gravy. Our normal menu is also available on
Sundays.
HOMEMADE DESSERTS
Our
delicious choice of homemade desserts are just too tempting…go on, treat
yourself!
...why not try our 'Dark chocolate brownie with white chocolate sauce & blackcherry ice cream'?
EVENING DINING
The Loaf has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere during the evening once the daily hustle and bustle of the town has died down. Our evening ambience is always enjoyed by both couples and groups alike. A delicious meal from our homemade menu is the perfect way to end a day and spend some time with friends and loved ones.
COMPLIMENTARY WORLD WINES
Our carefully selected wine list also offers some delicious choices to compliment your meal. If you would like any recommendations then please do not hesitate to ask one of the team.
Local Produce….
We try to use fresh local produce where possible throughout our dishes, we feel that it is important to support local business and also when the produce on our doorstep is this good then why do we need to go further afield to source it?!
Most of our meat is sourced from our local butcher, dear friend and neighbour ‘R.Evans Butchers’, Bob has been a traditional family butcher for over 37 years making his own bacon, award-winning sausages, burgers and welsh meats such as his 24 day matured beef.
